Visual Concept

Time has gone by so fast! I remember just starting college and feeling nervous and excited at the same time. Now the first semester is almost over. This English 101 course has taught me many things and I feel, with the help of Professor Beach and his feedback, I have gotten what I wanted out of this class.

I learned about the importance of effective communication and active listening. I have also learned to look at images differently and create my own story, and know that my interpretation may be very different than someone else’s. Through this class, I have become a stronger writer and communicator, willing to take the time to analyze messages and images, accept other points of view, and freely express my own opinions about the many things discussed. Even though time flies and this class will soon be over, I feel confident that I have gained the tools I need to continue to be successful, not only as a student at George Mason University, but in my daily interactions with others.
